Brad began his career in photography while still in high school
in Garden Grove, CA.
His
love of surfing inspired him to capture images at various breaks
in Southern California. After 1 1/2 years at Golden West JC in
Huntington Beach he dropped out to take a full time job for Surfing
Magazine as an "ad guy" and photographer. This was a
dream job for a young surfer and a great stepping stone.
In
1974 a change was in the midst and Brad moved to Mammoth to be
a ski bum for "one season".

Surrounded by all this beauty and recreation made it difficult
to leave.
He
quickly took to ski photography and became a photographer for
Powder Magazine.
At
the same time he was working the ultimate dream job, as a heli-ski
guide. This gave him the best conditions possible to photograph.
After
several years this ended and he continued selling photos to magazines
across the country.

In 1985 he opened Mammoth Gallery and has created an ideal format
for selling his landscape work. He continues to look for new venues,
the latest being aerial photography in the Sierra and in his other
love, Kauai.
Most of his work is done with a Pentax 645N medium format camera
using a variety of lenses and Fuji Velvia film.
He
is happily married and lives on 4 acres in a remote area outside
of Mammoth called Pinon Ranch with his wife Pamela. Brad's son,
Jesse, is following dad in the arts.
